Hoefler Text

This piece is a promotional poster for the typeface Hoefler Text. In order to create this, I did research on the typeface and its history. I was inspired by the extensive set of ornaments that the typeface came with. These ornaments could be combined together in different ways to create various patterns, which reminded me of the Arts & Crafts movement, a period of time in which I am especially attracted to the art and culture. The Hoefler Text ornaments and the movement are represented in the huge H, which is the focal point of the piece. I also experimented with different weights of the typeface and color to create a simple, yet elegant poster.
